     Born to an art loving Venezuelan family, Erick Rodriguez has been fascinated by all types of arts and crafts since he was a child. During his early thirties, he began to work with oils under the supervision of the noted artists, Brooke Walker-Knoblich.  In 2020, Erick established his studio in Portland, Oregon. Erick continues to train with talented instructors at the Oregon Society of Artists.  Erick’s love of landscapes, portraits, still life, figurative and abstract art has given him an opportunity to develop a unique style of brushwork. Erick has participated in multiple art shows and galleries in Oregon. Erick is recognized and receiving awards in the Pacific Northwest. What is next for Erick? His continues to hone his technique and hopes to have his first international art show in his native home, Caracas Venezuela.

Biography:

     I am a Southerner living in Portland, Oregon who was born in Caracas, Venezuela.  Art has always been a part of my life.  This love of art began as a child watching my mother paint in the district "El 23 de Enero".  Early in my childhood, I was a lucky beneficiary of dedicated teachers at Fe y Alegria Abraham Reyes in Caracas.  They encouraged a love of art as part of our curriculum.  That love was renewed as an adult by the beauty of the Oregon landscape.  It is fitting that many of my childhood memories and the Oregon landscape now fill my canvas.  I am committed to give back to Fe y Alegria where my journey to success began with education, love and hope for a brighter future.
